In the same way, leaders can prevent themselves from being perceived as toxic and ensure that those reporting to them become the best that they can be. Leaders ought to integrate the code of ethics and conduct and code of human resources to govern a human resources team effectively. Both the code of ethics and conduct and code of human resources require that leaders uphold respect, integrity, competence, and general responsibility (Embse et al., 2010). In addition, effective leadership ought to focus on empowering the employees, who are prospective leaders.
